The Intro #24: We’re still here

Seven weeks ago, we were naively embarking on a new season of “social distancing.” It was a scary, exciting challenge that required creativity and a heavy dose of get-it-done problem solving.

Now, it’s been months. And we don’t know when it will end.

It’s less adventure and more I-just-got-back-in-bed-during-my-lunch-break-because-I’m-so-tired. The shiny novelty of quarantine is long gone.

But here’s the good news, friends: yes, we’re still here. But also, we’re still here.

This unimaginable, unwanted situation might be terrible for you — but it hasn’t broken you. You are doing the hard, good work of putting one foot in front of the other.

You are serving a cause that matters, helping people who need a hand now more than ever, and keeping your head above water. That alone deserves endless celebration.

So cheers to you. And to another week of doing the impossible. (And to lunchtime naps. Because sometimes you just need 20 minutes to hide. We get it.)

The Intro #19: This is hard

Ok team, how are you doing? Surviving? Staying afloat? Finding reasons to smile?

We are here for you — now and always. Let us know how we can help — whether that’s with work or brainstorming or simply being a listening ear.

(For real. Please email us if we can be helpful to you or your organization!)

Also, here is something you need to hear: this is hard.

It’s hard now and it will be continue to be hard for quite a while.

So let’s just call it out and acknowledge just how a lot this whole thing is — for us as individuals, for us as business leaders, for us as organizations.

No one has prepared for this.

No one knows exactly what to do.

We’re all just doing our best, and that’s all we can keep doing. And that is true for every single person on the planet right now. We are all figuring this thing out as we go.

So today, do your best. Take care of yourself. Rest.

You’ve got this. We’ve got this. One day at a time.
