We are storytellers. We believe that every cause and organization has a story worth sharing, and what we love more than anything is making those stories come to life. Are you ready to get started?
We have experience. We’ve worked with huge global networks and tiny community organizations. We’ve spent months in the field interviewing and photographing incredible people who are now our heroes. We built donation platforms from scratch, did social media before it was cool (yes, we have the “How to Use MySpace” PowerPoint to prove it), and have sent thousands upon thousands of campaign emails. Nonprofit marketing is our jam.
We are curious. Learning is our favorite, and we can’t wait to learn about you! We read and study best practices and creative ideas from tons of disciplines every single day — then bring everything we’ve learned to the table to help you be as successful as possible.
We’re a team. Swell+Good is led by Allison Kooser and Ian Haisley — experienced nonprofit marketers who know that relationships are at the core of everything we do.
Allison Kooser Hastings
As Partner+Chief Storyteller, Allison helps organizations develop their voice, define their messaging, create compelling campaigns, and write powerful, effective content.
Prior to building Swell+Good, she led donor acquisition and outreach for Opportunity International and served as the lead copywriter and marketing strategist for the Chicago Sun-Times.
In addition to marketing communications and campaigns, Allison tells stories through speechwriting, long-form thought leadership, and major events — including a series of events for Her Royal Highness, the Princess Royal.
She studied world religion and Spanish at Davidson College, holds an MBA from Johns Hopkins University, and spent a year backpacking around the world. Her work has been presented in publications and platforms including Forbes, Chicago Council on Global Affairs, Global Citizen, Ideagen, and the United Nations.
She loves library books, her sweet family, adventure weekends, and the Oxford comma.
Ian Haisley
As Partner+Chief Strategist, Ian helps organizations improve their outreach, optimize their communications, design powerful campaigns, and launch digital tools to take their fundraising to the next level.
Prior to building Swell+Good, he was Vice President of Marketing for both the Chicago Sun-Times and Opportunity International. He began his career at Levi Strauss and holds a deep and abiding love for their denim.
Ian is a celebrated marketer and digital strategist. He has led organizations’ global brand development, designed and built custom giving applications, managed web platforms for an international network of partners, and received recognition for his work as a finalist for the Classy Awards’ Most Creative Fundraiser.
He studied theatre and graphic design at Stephen F. Austin State University and was one of the earliest social media users, leveraging new platforms for impact and promoting activism through peer-to-peer outreach. He continues to help brands leverage digital tools for good.
Ian loves Justin Timberlake, making homemade pizza, his three sweet kiddos, and TikTok videos. (He lost his battle against the Oxford comma.)

With experience in campaign development, copywriting, acquisition, outreach, strategic planning, digital growth, social media, web design, and more, we bring a full suite of skills to the table — and we’ve built a incredible team around us to give organizations like you access to even more expertise!
We both love oat milk lattes, walking for miles, waking up before the sun, and trying to eat all the tacos in Austin.
Amanda Agundiz
As Head of Operations, Amanda keeps the Swell+Good train on the tracks — ensuring that your questions get answered, your ideas turn into actionable plans, and your projects move forward smoothly.
Prior to joining the Swell+Good team, she was a Senior Account Executive at AbelsonTaylor and led marketing operations at the Chicago Sun-Times.
Amanda grew up in Monterrey, Mexico, studied marketing at DePaul University, and brings a spark of positive energy (and all the colorful pens and notebooks) to every meeting. When she’s not working, she’s busy parenting a toddler and exploring Chicago.
She loves Haribo gummy candies, true crime novels, and putting extra space heaters in every workspace.
Lindsey Lincoln
As Content Manager, Lindsey ensures that every post and email is where it needs to be. She’s a rockstar writer, a stellar social media creator, and a skilled storyteller, and she works with our clients to bring their big, bold ideas to life.
Prior to joining Swell+Good, Lindsey served as the Marketing Manager at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver and led communications for the Ann Arbor District Library. She studied English literature at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and now lives in Denver, Colorado.
When she’s not crafting all the content, you can find her hiking mountains, reading a million books, or learning to play tennis.
She loves good coffee, bookstores, and using copious exclamation points!!
