Content Marketing Specialist
We are looking for a talented, organized, energetic, content-loving, storytelling rockstar to join our team as we help nonprofit organizations around the world reach more people, raise more money, and better do the work they were born to do.

We believe that every cause and organization has a story worth sharing, and what we love more than anything is bringing those stories to life.

A few more details…
- Your time is yours to manage. We don’t have designated work hours so that you can fit your projects into your existing schedule.
- You can live anywhere. Our team is national, our clients are global, and we were doing the remote work thing way before it was cool.
- The role is full-time. For Swell+Good, that means 32 hours a week, Monday through Friday. The office usually closes at 1:00 p.m. on Fridays.
- You will be using lots of digital tools. We use a huge suite of applications to manage and deliver our work. Get ready to learn Basecamp, Airtable, Buffer, and Noko for S+G’s daily operations—and tools including Campaign Monitor, Bloomerang, Virtuous, Iterable, Canva, Asana, Confluence, Google Workspace, Box, Dropbox, MailChimp, and more to manage our clients’ work.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate ideas via the written word. We’re big believers that this meeting could have been an email, and we’re even bigger believers that that email should have been a Basecamp message. To work with us, it’s super important that you can communicate ideas thoroughly and clearly via text. And in this role, in particular, you’ll be writing all day long!
- Ability to manage multiple varied projects simultaneously. Multitasking isn’t a thing, but task-switching is definitely part of the deal! There is never a shortage of work to be done, and we need your help keeping everything straight. You’ll be working with a wide variety of clients with very different missions and voices, and you’ll need to switch between them on a daily (sometimes hourly) basis.
- Excellent at managing your time, meeting deadlines, and getting your stuff done. We work virtually and asynchronously, so you have to be able to be a grown-up. You should also be pro-time-management, pro-deliverable-deadlines, and pro-calendar.
- Exceptional writing skills. Do your friends make fun of you for always correcting their grammar? Are you very into words? We want to meet you.
- Eagerness to learn. Curious people are our favorite people.
- Interest in nonprofit organizations.
This is kind of a no-brainer, but if you’re spending time making nonprofits more awesome, we hope you like them! - Savvy researcher. Statistics don’t scare you, and facts are your friends.
Extra Qualifications (not necessary, but will earn you bonus points)
- Spanish-speaking
- Familiarity with international development and/or poverty alleviation programs
- Experience crafting web and social media content
We’d love to meet you!
